CARVIAN – Cookie Policy

Effective date: 14.07.2026

1. General

1.1

This Cookie Policy ("Cookie Policy") explains how the entity operating the Carvian service ("Company", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the Carvian platform available at carvian.com and its related domains and subdomains ("Platform").

More detailed information about the processing of personal data is available in the Carvian Privacy Policy.

1.2

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit the Platform.

Similar technologies include browser local storage and tracking pixels. These technologies allow the Platform to function correctly, remember your preferences and, with your consent, measure Platform usage and the effectiveness of our advertising.

2. How Consent Works on the Platform

2.1

Tags on the Platform are managed through Google Tag Manager and controlled using Google Consent Mode v2.

When you first visit the Platform, a consent banner asks you to choose your cookie preferences.

Analytics and advertising tags are loaded, and cookies in those categories are set, only if you have given your consent for the relevant category (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 205 of the Finnish Act on Electronic Communications Services 917/2014).

Strictly necessary cookies are used without consent based on our legitimate interest in ensuring the proper operation of the Platform.

2.2

You may change or withdraw your consent at any time by reopening the cookie settings through the "Manage cookies" link available on the Platform.

Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Google may process analytics and advertising data on servers located outside the EU/EEA.

Such transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision regarding the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

More information about Google's processing of personal data is available in Google's own privacy documentation.

4. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

4.1

In addition to the consent banner, you may block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Most browsers allow you to block either all cookies or only third-party cookies.

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent certain parts of the Platform, such as the checkout process, from functioning properly.

Instructions are available on your browser's support pages, including for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge.

5. Changes and Contact

5.1

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if the technologies or tools used on the Platform change.

The latest version will always be published on the Platform.
